The relativity of Social media’s massive influence and effects on Humanity

Social Media is Destroying Us - Joe Rogan & Elon Musk

Elon Musk said on his video that “One of the issues with social media is people look like they have a much better life than they really do,”. “People are posting pictures of when they were really happy, they’re modifying those pictures to be better-looking. Even if they’re not modifying those pictures, they’re selecting the pictures for the best lighting, the best angle.”

Musk went on to express that Instagram makes people seem better-looking and happier “than they really are,” which can have negative effects on the psyche of followers who might buy into it. He feels that seeing attractive, happy people on social media will make people think “I’m not that good looking and I’m not that happy. So I must suck.” His overall opinion on social media apps? Not great — even with his heavy Twitter use.
